THE JOY BOX PROJECT

2020 has been one of those unprecedented years with challenges and a lot of desperation surrounding us. As we are nearing Christmas, we would like to make Christmas Day one filled with joy for our elderly community and for children who need a bright surprise.

Therefore we have our Joy Box Project and we are asking our community to help us in spreading some Christmas joy.

As suggestions, we suggest the following for the boxes:

Elderly:
a) Toothbrush
b) Toothpaste
c) Deodorant
d) Wash cloth
e) Body lotion
f) Bar of soap
g) Something sweet
h) A small gift

Children:
a) Toothbrush
b) Toothpaste
c) Deodorant
d) Wash cloth
e) Body lotion (Child oriented)
f) Bar of soap
g) Something sweet
h) A small gift

Donations can be dropped in the box at the lift area (there is a slot for the box at the top) and bigger boxes can be dropped off at the Centre Management Offices (passage between Markham and Sneaker Factory)

We would like to hand over the presents from 23 December, so please ensure that your gift reaches us before then.

Please indicate on your box whether it is for a elderly person or for a child and the gender.

Whacky Whale Spend and Win | Terms and Conditions

By participating in the Whale Coast Mall Whacky Whale Spend and Win Competition, participants agree to the terms and conditions set out below. The promoter reserves the right to disqualify a participant who does not comply with any of the terms and conditions of the competition.
The competition is open to everyone except the following people: a) a director, member, partner, employee or agent of or consultant to the promoter or any other person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by the promoter as well as a supplier of goods or services in connection with the competition; or b) a spouse, life partner, parent, child, brother, sister, business partner or associate of a person contemplated in paragraph (a).
Participants must be a South African citizen or permanent resident with a valid South African photo identification document and must be over the age of 18 years to qualify for entry.
This competition is run on behalf of Whale Coast Mall by managing company Broll.
The Competition commences on 13 September 2021 at 11h00 and closes on 31 October 2021 at 17h00. No entries received after 31 October 2021 will be allowed.
The prize consists out of a gift card, loaded with a value of R20,000.00 that can be used at selected stores in the Whale Coast Mall.
The prize gift card are valid for three years from the last date of activation and / or last top up.
A valid entry is an individual receipt from any store or restaurant in Whale Coast Mall, purchased between 13 September 2021 at 11h00 and 31 October 2021 at 17h00, to the value of R450 or more. Till slips cannot be accumulated to make up the value of R450. In the event that an original slip cannot be entered, a copy or re-print thereof may be used to enter this competition. Each slip may only be entered once.
To enter, customers must include their name and contact number on the back of their receipt. The receipt must then be placed in one of the four allocated entry boxes in centre.
The winner selection will take place on 15 November 2021, by way of a random draw. The prize winner will be the first valid receipt drawn that includes the customer’s name and contact number.
Should the organiser of the competition be unable to reach the winner within 12 hours after the random draw takes place the winner will forfeit their prize and another winner will be selected and announced.
The prize must be collected in person by the winner no later than 60 days after notification.
In order to collect the prize, the winner must present a valid South African photo identification document.
The prize is not transferable and is not exchangeable for cash. No substitution or assignment of the prize is permitted, but the organisers of the Competition reserve the right to substitute the prize with one of comparable value for any reason whatsoever.
The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
By entering this competition, the entrant authorises Whale Coast Mall to collect, store and use personal information of entrants for marketing, statistical and communication purposes.
All risk and liability pertaining to any prize pass to the winner on signing over and receipt thereof.
By entering this competition the entrant indemnifies the Landlord and its agents against any claims based on defective products or services awarded as the prize and the winner further agrees to enforce any rights against the retailer, distributor, importer or producer of such product or against the service provider of the service.
The winner or participants may be required to take part in publicity campaigns for broadcast or publishing purposes with the winner or participant not being entitled to any payment or other remuneration for such publicity.
The organisers of the competition reserve the right to cancel or postpone the competition at any time.

Father's Day (Facebook) Competition | Terms and Conditions

6. The prize consists of a hamper, filled with various prizes from tenants within the Whale Coast Mall.

7. To enter, a person needs to visit the Facebook page of Whale Coast Mall, comment on the relevant post, like our page, use the tag option to tag three friends and share the post.

8. The winner selection will take place on Tuesday 06 June 2021, by means of a random draw.

Passport to Win (Facebook) Competition | Terms and Conditions

1. The promoters of this competition are Broll Property Group and The Blue Room.

2. You may only enter or vote for this competition if you are a citizen and permanent resident of South Africa, and 18 years or over. The winner will be required to present a valid South African ID document in order to accept the prize.

3. The competition will run from Friday, 18 June 2021 until Friday, 31 August 2021. No late entries will be accepted.

4. The winner will be announced on Monday 02 September 2021 , and the winner will be contacted via Facebook Messenger first to get their details, and then telephonically or via email.

5. All entries will be verified by the Marketing Manager. If any discrepancies should arise, the entrant will be disqualified from the competition.

6. The promoters will try to contact the winner each day for seven days following the draw. If the winner cannot be contacted or chooses to decline the prize, another winner will be drawn as soon as possible.

7. To enter the competition: Take a photo of yourself standing on our decals placed at our restaurants; Ocean Creek Spur, Wimpy, The Deli Coffee Co, Best of Asia, and Mugg & Bean and post it to the Facebook competition post comments.

8. The winner of this competition must be willing to collect his/her prize from the tenant and/or centre and/or external organization at a time suitable for the tenant and/or centre and/or external organization. The prize has to be collected within 30 days of being notified of the win.

9. The judges’ decision is final and binding and cannot be appealed. No correspondence will be entered into.

10. You may not enter the competition if you are a director, member, partner, employee, tenant, agent, consultant or supplier to the promoter or their respective spouses, partners, family members, business partners or associates.

11. You may not enter this competition if you have won a prize from Whale Coast Mall within the last 90 days (3 months).

12. The competition prize is a restaurant voucher from a Whale Coast Mall restaurant of your choice.

13. The prize is neither negotiable nor transferable and may not be exchanged for cash and/or a different date.

14. The promoters accept no liability for damaged or lost prizes after they have been accepted by winner.

15. This competition/promotion is a complete release of Facebook by each entrant/participant.

16. We also acknowledge that this competition/promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered with, Facebook.

22. By entering a competition, entrants note that they may be sharing “personal information” as defined in the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (“the Act”). The promoters reserve the right to “process”, as defined in the Act, the personal information of the entrant for the purpose of conducting the competition, and the competition entrant, through entering the competition, hereby consents to

such processing.
